The round nipple matches the nipple from our popular BIBS Colour pacifier, which is designed to mimic the mother’s soft nipple in shape and size. This is to prevent “nipple”-confusion if you are both breastfeeding and supplementing with a bottle.
The nipple is designed with a valve for a smooth milk flow, that reduces air swallowed while feeding.
The bottle nipples come in two different flows: slow and medium flow.
As per the BIBS pacifiers we recommend a replacement of bottle nipples every 4-6 weeks for both safety and hygienic reasons. Keep an eye out for any changes in the surface, changes in size and shape, or rupture in the material, and replace the bottle nipple if you notice any differences. Natural rubber latex is a natural material and is affected by sunlight, high temperatures, and moisture which accelerates the ageing process of the latex material. Therefore, the material changes its properties and can become brittle or sticky. Whenever you experience a change in the material the pacifier must be replaced.
How to clean:
Before first use, disassemble and clean the product by placing all components in boiling water for 5 mins to sterilisation.
The latex nipple must be cleaned and sterilised before each use by scalding.
- Pour boiling water over it and let it soak in the water for approx. 5 mins.
- Pick up it and let it dry on a clean towel
Do not place in the microwave for sterilising.
